The Kennel Website Company is in a trial phase: we are currently testing demand, and the company is being registered. Until then you can reach us at sufyan@honestdog.de; the postal address and register details will be added here as soon as they are final.
This website loads no trackers and sets no advertising or analytics cookies; the only thing it collects is what you type into the preview's forms, voluntarily.
For your preview we store the address of your existing website, your email address and the website we rebuild from it on our servers in the European Union (Amazon Web Services, Frankfurt, region eu-central-1). To extract the content of your public website, we send its page text to Google (Gemini API, paid tier; the data is not used for training). One strictly necessary session cookie (animal_session) signs you in to your preview; we set no other cookies. Emails about your preview are sent via Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). A preview expires after 7 days; we delete the personal data belonging to it 14 days after it was created, unless you request to take the website over. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps, at your request, towards a contract) and, for the session cookie, § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
Your preview site is publicly reachable at its address until it expires: anyone who has the address can open it. The images in your preview are delivered through Amazon CloudFront's global network, which includes servers outside the European Union.
Our web pages — including the preview and the forms where you enter your website address and email address — are delivered by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) as our processor; in doing so Netlify processes the data of your requests, including in the USA. Likewise, Google may process the page text sent to the Gemini API outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. We safeguard both transfers to a third country with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR); you can get a copy by writing to sufyan@honestdog.de.
What you type into our forms – your website's address, your email address, an application or a take-over request – travels via Netlify and Amazon CloudFront's network to our servers in Frankfurt. Amazon CloudFront may receive the request at a location outside the European Union; we safeguard this transfer with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as well.
If you request to take over your website, we store the invoice details (name, address, VAT ID where given, email address and your note) to invoice you and complete the take-over (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep invoices for the statutory retention periods (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). A take-over ends the automatic deletion after 14 days.
If someone applies through the form on a preview website, we store the application with the preview. The Kennel Website Company processes this data to pass the application to the website's owner: they receive an email naming the applicant, a fit score computed from the answers, and a link to the back office where the full application can be read; the applicant themselves receives a confirmation. The application is deleted with the preview 14 days after the preview was created, unless the website is taken over. Once a website has been taken over, its owner is the controller for applications, waiting-list entries and contact requests made through it; The Kennel Website Company then processes that data on the owner's behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you give your email address in the preview, we receive an internal email notification with your email address and your website's address. If you request a take-over, our internal notification additionally contains the details from your request (billing name, address, VAT ID where given, and your note), so we can help you with any questions.
If you sign up for The Kennel Website Company and send your application data to a breeder, we process that data to deliver the application and run your account. The legal basis is likewise Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performing, or taking steps towards, the contract with you and, for the application, with the breeder). This data is stored on servers within the European Union.
When you visit our website, we process technically necessary log data (e.g. IP address, timestamp, page requested) to operate, secure and troubleshoot our hosting. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning service).
If you voluntarily join a waiting list to be contacted by a breeder about a future litter, we process your contact details for that purpose on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by emailing sufyan@honestdog.de; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Under the GDPR you can ask at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to your supervisory authority — write to sufyan@honestdog.de.
